The Mediation & Restorative Justice Center (MRJC) provides conflict resolution and restorative justice services in courts, schools, and communities across 9 counties in Northwestern North Carolina. For over 30 years, MRJC has worked to reduce the harm caused by unresolved conflict and retributive punishment in order to increase respect, peace, productivity, and safety in the communities we serve.
MRJC’s programs include District Criminal Court Mediation, Juvenile Mediation, Sentencing Circles, Recovery Court, and the peer-led programs of Homestead Recovery Center: Law Enforcement-Assisted Diversion (LEAD), Recovery on the Inside, The Homeplace (recovery housing), Reentry Service Station, Community Care, and Avery Recovery Vehicle.
